From September 14 to 22, the Shenzhen Educational Science Research Institute held the 2018 Shenzhen Primary and Middle School Art Exhibition. The wax carving work shop in our Junior High School won high praise from theleaders, experts, teachers, parents, and students who came to visit and observe. Wax carving (蜡雕), a simulation(模拟) of cutting and polishing jade (琢玉), enriches (丰富) the way students engage in modeling training. Students learn carving techniques (技巧) from the handson practice, which not only enhances (增强) their three-dimensional awareness (空间立体意识) of the modeling space, but is also novel and interesting!
Many visitors personally experienced the process of wax carving. The student craftsmen (工匠) in the work shop showed the lively and true-to-life wax carving products and unconsciously (潜移默化地) spread the the culture of Chinese jade.
