From September 14 to 22, the Shen-zhen Educational Science Research In-stitute held the 2018 Shenzhen Primaryand Middle School Art Exhibition. Thewax carving workshop in our JuniorHigh School won high praise from theleaders, experts, teachers, parents, and stu-dents who came to visit and observe.Wax carving (蜡雕), a simulation(模拟) of cutting and polishing jade (琢玉), enriches (丰富) the way students engage in modeling training. Students learncarving techniques (技巧) from the handson practice, which not only en-hances (增强) their three-dimensionalawareness (空间立体意识) of the modeling space, but is also novel and interesting!
Many visitors personally experiencedthe process of wax carving. The student craftsmen (工匠) in the workshopshowed the lively and true-to-life waxcarving products and unconsciously (潜移默化地) spread the the culture of Chinese jade.
