On January 17, our Foreign Lan-guage School held their first Inter-national Cultural Festival. Underthe theme（主题）“Children Leadthe Way on the Belt and Road”（一带一路）, the festival aimed（目的）to make students better un-derstand the history of the SilkRoad（丝绸之路）, enhance（增强）their global vision (全球洞察力) and develop a sense of patrio-tism（爱国主义）in theirhearts.This International Cultural Fes-tival helped students to understandthe meaning of“Belt and Road”byhaving each class represent (代表）one foreign country, including Ka-zakhstan(哈萨克斯坦), Turkey (土（吉祥物）of their country in hand.

The students learnt foreign culturesand customs happily by experienc-ing them in the form of singing,dancing and taking an active part invarious games. The whole schoolwas fullof joy and passion.Headmaster Gao Miaotianstressed ( 强 调) that the festivalserved as an important platform（平 台）for improving students'overall knowledge. It broadened(拓宽) the children's horizons (视野) and taught them the cultures ofthe countries along the Silk Road.The success of the event proved thatthe school's curriculum（课程）ishighlyeffective（高效的）.
